VETERANS DAY CEREMONY

All U.S. veterans and families are encouraged to attend from around the region.
Welcome by Mayor Marlon Coleman
Honorary Speaker – Major General (USAF Retired) Stephen Cortright, Former Adjutant General of Oklahoma, League of Merit Awardee, and pilot of 217 combat missions over Vietnam.
Veterans Medal Ceremony – each veteran present is awarded an Oklahoma Veteran service medal by either Jason McClellan, Director of Muskogee Regional VA, or Hon. Dewayne Pemberton, Ok Senate Dist 9. (veterans – there will be a sign-up table at the event where we’ll take down your name, branch of service, and years served so come a bit early to register for a medal. Muskogee High School Air Force ROTC will assist during the medal ceremony and also handle flag duties.)
Flyover by TULSA WARBIRDS during the medal ceremony.
Muskogee High School ‘Pride of Muskogee’ Marching Band will provide patriotic music and Ms Emma Roach will sing the National Anthem.
Haskell American Legion Post 56 is providing the rifle squad.
Greater Muskogee Area Chamber of Commerce is supplying goody bags for veterans with some nice surprises.
Rain Location: Muskogee Little Theater, 3rd & Elgin across the street from Depot Green to the NW.
