Pecan Creek Winery Presents–Goat Cheese (Chevre) Making Class by Farm Sweet Farm

What to expect: Chevre cheese making is a 24-hour process so during this one hour class I will have three stations set up to demonstrate the art of this type of cheese. This is an observation class, not a practical participation. I will walk you through each stage of the process and you will receive detailed notes to take away and at the end of the class be confident enough in the knowledge of cheesemaking to go home and try it yourself! You will also leave the class with a 5oz sample of chevre, having said that most people don’t actually ‘leave’ with it, it is usually eaten before they get to their vehicles!
Chevre is a soft and very mild goat cheese and is yummy to eat on crackers, on top of pizza or a salad or my favorite, on pancakes with maple syrup and cantaloupe.
This is a simple process of making cheese and is great to give as gifts, it freezes well and of course is super delicious to enjoy yourself.
Our host for this class is Pecan creek winery in Muskogee, they have kindly offered their facility and what better pairing could there be than wine and cheese! This class includes a glass of their wine too!!
There is a limit to 25 places in this class and places are reserved only when full payment is received, your payment is non-refundable unless Farm Sweet Farm cancels the class.
The charge for the class is $25 and includes a 5oz sample of cheese and a glass of wine.
