Celebrate Spring at the Muskogee Azalea Festival! Kicking off the second weekend of April and ending the first week of June, Muskogee has something to offer the entire family.
In 2018 the festival Kicks off Friday, April 13 at the Muskogee Exchange Club Chili & BBQ Cook-off, Kick-off Party featuring Jason Boland & The Stragglers and the Muskogee Little Theatre production of Annie, but that is just the beginning of two fun filled months in Muskogee.
Honor Heights Park serves as “Azalea Capital” with thousands of breathtaking Azaleas, Daisies, Tulips, Wisteria, Lilies and other colorful plant life featured in one of Oklahoma’s premier parks. Visitors are encouraged to explore the 132-acre park, including the storybook themed gardens and beginning in May, the Butterfly Papilion, a butterfly sanctuary where one can get up close and personal with these beautiful winged creatures. The park is open daily 8:00 am – dark.
